It’s Almost Time

As I write this, I’m sitting in the Dallas airport about to take off for Sydney. I have one major thought running through my mind: what am I getting myself into. Not only have I never traveled without my family, I have never been out of the country. The phrase “foreign territory” is a major understatement when it comes to my current situation. But there are a few things I do know.

First, everything is going to be ok. No, it will not go according to plan. I can almost guarantee that what I have pictured for my semester is not at all what will happen. Second, this semester is going to test me. My patience, flexibility, and sleep schedule will all be threatened while I am away. And finally, this is probably going to be the best few months of my life, and I cannot wait to share it with you all.
